Now that I got my energy boost from a double-tall-soy-mocha-with-whip at Starbucks, let me explain why I tried this drink for the first time.
After finishing my last exam of the semester, I headed to Starbucks for a celebratory coffee. I brought my friend Mike along for the trip so I could have a conversation over some Starbucks. I wanted to try something new this time because all of my followers have been telling me what their favorite drinks are and I only drink a venti ice coffee with milk and sugar. I thought I needed to learn more about Starbucks and my followers so we can better build a relationship and community. One follower, @Fenyris, said she has “Everyday, without fail, double-tall-soy-mocha-with-whip!” So that is exactly what Mike and I got. Here is Mike’s reaction to the coffee and my opinion on the character of this Starbucks drinker.
Mike loves the drink; he said, “The mocha is what makes it happen.” It delivers an explosion of flavor to the taste buds in his mouth. The coffee is not bitter and combined with the mocha makes the drink go down smoothly. The contrast of hot coffee with the cold whipped cream on top provides the drinker with a heated beverage to warm up but not scorching so his/her tongue won’t get burnt. Overall it was a great cup of coffee and to sum it up in one word: delicious.
This drinkers character is energetic; a double espresso in the morning guarantees a productive day. I myself now feel like I am going to accomplish the projects I have planned for tonight because of the caffeine kick it gives. The drinker is healthy and organic because of the soy choice; this is the first time I enjoyed the soy flavor in my drink. After this cup, it wont be the last. Finally, the drinker has a fun side to his/her serious work ethic. He/she is not afraid to order a mature, caffeine-packed cup of coffee and add the entertaining childhood whipped cream on top.
Mike says that this is going to be his regular order. As for me, I loved the pick-me-up, but I am ready to learn about another follower through his/her favorite cup of Starbucks. Next up is @majamei from the Philippines. Her beloved drink from Starbucks is a “tall hazelnut upside down caramel macchiato.” Lets see what I can learn about her.
P.S. I took some pictures to give a visual of this Starbucks experience. Also, the barista forgot to add “Double” on the cup but it was a double!
